SK Capital Announces Promotions

New York, January 10, 2022 – SK Capital Partners, LP, a private investment firm focused on the specialty materials, chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors, is excited to announce today the promotion of six professionals. Dan Lory has been promoted to Principal, Simone Slade has been promoted to Fund Controller, Santiago Nielsen and Booey Ghani have been promoted to Vice President, and Julius Nestler and Alex Cooley have been promoted to Senior Associate.

‌Mr. Lory joined the firm in 2019 as a Vice President and has played a significant role in several investments, executing transactions and driving portfolio company improvement with a focus on lower middle market investments, including Techmer PM, NuCera Solutions, Tilley, and Canlak. Prior to joining SK Capital, Mr. Lory was most recently a Vice President at KeyBanc, where he spent 8 years in the chemicals and materials practice.

‌Ms. Slade joined the firm as an Assistant Controller in 2019. Ms. Slade is responsible for certain accounting administration, reporting, and operational functions in support of the SK Capital Funds. Prior to joining SK Capital, Ms. Slade was a Manager at SS&C Technologies Inc., where she focused on the administration of private equity funds.

‌Mr. Nielsen joined the firm in 2017 and was previously a Senior Associate, executing transactions and enhancing value at several of SK Capital’s portfolio companies, including Archroma, SI Group, SEQENS, and Heubach. Prior to joining SK Capital, Mr. Nielsen worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Morgan Stanley.

‌Mr. Ghani joined the firm in 2021 as a Senior Associate, executing transactions and enhancing value at several of SK Capital’s portfolio companies with a focus on lower middle market investments. Prior to joining SK Capital, Mr. Ghani worked at Court Square Capital Partners and Audax Private Equity, where he focused on leveraged buyout transactions in the Industrials sector. Prior to his experience in private equity, Mr. Ghani worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Jefferies.

‌Mr. Nestler joined the firm as an Associate in 2018 and is a member of SK Capital’s investment team. Prior to joining SK Capital, Mr. Nestler worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the M&A Advisory Group at PJT Partners.

‌Mr. Cooley joined the firm as an Associate in 2019 and is a member of SK Capital’s investment team. Prior to joining SK Capital, Mr. Cooley worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Industrials Group at Citigroup.
