Ms. Kolton joined SK Capital in 2022 as Chief Sustainability & Public Affairs Officer. As Chief Sustainability and Public Affairs Officer, Ms. Kolton leads SK Capital’s sustainability initiatives and public sector engagement, driving value across the firm and its portfolio. In this role, Ms. Kolton supports the full investment lifecycle—from sourcing and due diligence to value creation and realization—by embedding sustainability, public policy, and regulatory considerations into decision-making processes. She works closely with portfolio companies to develop and enhance sustainability programs, with a focus on operational efficiency, environmental stewardship, and risk mitigation. Ms. Kolton also oversees the firm’s engagement with policy makers, industry groups, and other external stakeholders, and partners with portfolio companies to shape and execute advocacy strategies that promote and protect business interests. In addition, she leads strategic communications related to sustainability and public policy, ensuring alignment between the firm’s initiatives and broader industry and societal trends. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Milestone Environmental Services.

Prior to joining SK Capital, Ms. Kolton was Executive Vice President of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the primary trade association representing over 170 chemical manufacturers operating in the U.S.  While at the ACC, Ms. Kolton led the development of the first ever chemical industry sustainability strategy, the Responsible Care® program, the industry’s mandatory Environment, Health, and Safety program, as well as all industry communications initiatives.

Ms. Kolton served in multiple senior government roles earlier in her career, including at the White House, Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of the Treasury, and Department of Energy.

Ms. Kolton earned a B.A. from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX.
