Barry Penney Managing Director

Prior to joining SK Capital in 2015, Mr. Penney spent over thirty years in domestic and international chemical businesses focusing on supply chain, procurement, plant operations, logistics and operations excellence. Before joining SK, Mr. Penney was President of NGL’s, Olefins and Feedstocks at Ascend Performance Materials.

Mr. Penney began his career at Exxon and held a variety of management positions at Bayer, Goodyear and Cytec. His responsibilities ranged from special project execution to management accountability for global supply chain and global engineering organizations.

He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Valtris Specialty Chemicals and Milestone Environmental Services. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of TriTex and as a member of the Board of Directors of Noramco, Extractas Bioscience, Niacet, Perimeter Solutions and Wavelength Pharmaceuticals, and Foremark Performance Chemicals.

Mr. Penney graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BS in Chemical Engineering.
