Mario Tomasoni Operating Director

Mr. Tomasoni joined SK Capital as an Operating Director in 2023.

Prior to joining SK Capital, Mr. Tomasoni served as CEO of AEB Group, an Italian-based global leader in beverage ingredients for wine and beer, and a former SK Capital portfolio company until 2018. At AEB, Mr. Tomasoni executed key operational enhancements such as expanding the company’s footprint in Europe and Asia, establishing new business units, and facilitating strategic M&A. Mr. Tomasoni remained the company’s CEO until September 2023.

Mr. Tomasoni brings over 20 years of experience in the chemical and specialty ingredients industries, serving in CEO and Managing Director positions for multinational companies throughout his career. From 2012 to 2014, he served as the Managing Director of Boero Bartolomeo, a producer of paints for the architectural, yachting, and marine sectors. From 2009 to 2012, he served as the CEO of Giovanni Bozzetto, a producer of chemical auxiliaries for the textile, construction, and water treatment industries, where he spearheaded several new business acquisitions. Mr. Tomasoni also served as the CEO of Rexel, Milan, from 2005 to 2008, and as the Managing Director of BASF, Milan, from 1997 to 2005, where he facilitated several product launches and business mergers.

Mr. Tomasoni earned a master’s degree in economics from Bocconi University in Milan and was distinguished as the 2021 CEO of the year by Le Fonti Awards, Italy. He also served as the former President of Oenoppia Worldwide Association of Oenological Producers from 2019 to 2023.

Operating Directors are not employees of SK Capital. Such directors are expected to receive compensation from certain Funds’ portfolio investments and/or directly from certain Funds. Such compensation will not result in offsets to, or reductions of the management fee paid by the corresponding Fund.
